One Year Later

Ok, so if I say it took me one year to finish this, it would be not-so-accurate.  It was more like I didn’t get around to do it.  In any event, I did this exactly year ago today in Kagoshima, JAPAN.
ちょうど、一年前の今日、鹿児島のフェリーの港で、風の強い日に、こんな撮影をやってた。かおるさま、かなことさま、遊んでくれて、ありがとう！

ずる賢い英語の話し方 100512

Goddamn it  (がっだめっ）God damn it  (直訳は、くそたれ 神様）でも，意味的には、”あ〜〜〜〜”　とか、”なんちゅうこっちゃ”　とか、”くそ〜〜〜”　みたいな感じ。

発音、正確には、[God Damn It / がっど でーむ いっと]、なんだけど、そこは[がっだあみっ] に、なっちゃうね話してると。[がっど でーむ いっと] の(と) は飲み込むようにな音で発音してください。無発音？　声に，だしては、いわないけれど、くちの、なかで、いってください、で、[がっだあみっ] に、なっかちゃう。そうすれば、地元人の様に，聞こえるよ。

何か失敗したときとか、いらいらしてるときとか、かなづちで、釘をうちそびれて，自分の指を，打ってしまったときとか、ようするに、なにかしら悪いことが起きたときに、神様を、ののしっているのだから、まあ、あまし、よくは、おもわれない、ことばだけどね。とくに、キリスト教徒のひとたちには。でも、ぼくらは、普通の様に、日常茶飯事のように、毎日，言ってます。（なんか、わるいことばっか、起こっているような気配ですね）でも、それほど、深刻なものでは、ないですよ。まあ、教会の中にいたら、気をつけて心の中だけで，いってください。Gaddamnit [がっだあみっ] や Shit [しっと] や Fuck [ふぁっく] は、どれも、一般的には、良くない単語だから，言わない方がいいとか、覚えなくてもいいとか、特に英語を勉強中や、勉強初めには、いわれるけれども、これらは、つねに、会話に色を付けてくれる単語なので、やはり、使いこなそうぜ！

ぼくは、キリスト教徒の人間たちが回りに多いので、Doggamn it [どっがみっ]とも、いっている。これは、God (神様)をDog (犬)に変えただけなのさ！　音がにてるから、音であそんでいるだけなのさ。だって God の反対側からは Dog でしょ？  God Damn It / Dog Gamn It

根性いれて、腹の底から言おう！！！

Full Moon September 2012

September’s full moon fell on the last day of the month.  I was out far end of Goleta Beach with four of SBJPG members.  On this mild evening, there were people strolling down the beach, a family enjoying fishing, joggers and lover all having a good time!

Big Life Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Africa’s wildlife and ecosystems founded in September 2010 by photographer Nick Brandt in urgent response to the recent dramatic escalation in poaching across much of Africa.

ビッグライフ財団は、アフリカ全体で最近の密猟が劇的に上昇したことに緊急対応で写真家ニック·ブラントによって2010年9月に設立された生態系の保全を目的とする非営利組織です。

We are going to going to have a fundraiser for Big Life Foundation in  May 2013.来年５月に大規模な募金活動を行ないます。乞うご期待。

 

Endangered Species Protection/Birthday Party Event

Big Life Foundation was what my friend Donna’s mind when she wanted to celebrate her 50th birthday, so she planned a Safari theme birthday party as in sort of trial-run party for a fundraiser for Big Life Foundation in  May 2013.
私の友ダナが50歳の誕生日会パーティーを考えていたときに、来年の５月に行なう予定のビッグライフ財団の募金活動の試しパーティーをと思い、サファリテーマの誕生日会パーティをやってみようと試みました。

We also did “Wall Of Fame” session of these animals. Wall Of Fame (WOF) is a fun photography service sort of like deluxe version of prom photography that let you be whatever and do whatever you wish.  Yes, you can say it’s the prom photos on steroid as in “anything goes”, and is always a big hit at events such as corporate parties, holiday parties, birthday party and of course wedding receptions.  Just explore your alter ego, and be formal, semi-formal, informal, funky, spunky, cool, goofy, sexy, cute, pretty, DMV-ish, wild and crazy.  We can shoot singles, groups, brothers, sisters, family and more!  It’s definitely a fun time for everybody!  Simon Cowell says, “Get your freaky Paula Abdul on” (or not).

So, we’d like to make next fundraising party (May 2013) into a largest annual celebration. It is a time for activists, donors, volunteers, and all animal supporters to gather and send messages and stop those who kill animals for profit. Blue Moon (Full Moon August – 2012)

Interesting indeed how your day turned into something totally different especially when you weren’t expecting.  It was one of many SBJPG’s full moon shoot out, and we were going to just get high up in the mountain and wait for the moon.  While we were driving up half way in the mountain, we saw a local fire department doing a field exercise and I immediately knew it was going to be hot shots.  Few firemen were standing against the Sun creating fantastic silhouette figures of men working with a fire hose.

When we got to the shooting site (Knapp Castle), there were several people up there enjoying majestic Sunset, doing yoga and just hanging out.

We were like “the moon! the moon!” just as the moon appeared.  After the Sunset, the temperature dropped dramatically whereas when we were up here three weeks ago for the Perseids Meteor Shower, it was incredibly warm night and no bugs at all that we were able to camp out without blankets.
月が出た途端に、月だあ〜月だあ〜！と騒いでしまいました。お日様が沈んでしまったらやたら寒くなってきました。３週間まえにここに流星群を観に来た時は害虫駆除は全くいなかったし、毛布もいらないくらいの暖かさでそのままキャンプすることが出来ました。

Amazingly bright full moon illuminated the entire area.

漢字の ”愛” に挑戦したけど、なんか変になっちゃた。(４回挑戦）

I’m going to try coming up here again for next new moon night (9/15) which will be so dark that should provide a perfect night sky to photograph stars. – This fireplace was lit by the full moon (front side), and a flashlight on the side, inside and foreground for 30 second (without the flashlight, it would’ve appeared in black without detail).
この撮影現場ではいろんなことが出来そう。次回の新月の夜 (9/15) は暗い夜になので、空いっぱいのお星様を撮りに来ようと思ってます。   この石暖炉の前の部分は月の光によって照らされ、横と暖炉の中と写真の手前は懐中電灯で３０秒はど照らされています。(懐中電灯なしでは、それらの部分はほとんど真っ黒にしか写りません)。
