Customization Update on iPad

My very good friend of mine brought me his iPad this afternoon. He said he could live without, but I want to be able to do 1)image presentation, 2)update my blog and Facebook on location with image upload. I don’t intended to do image editing on iPad(maybe very basic such as cropping and exposure control, but not that important).

Ok, this is where I am at as of now:

- Music synchronized with my iTunes in my Mac
- Image files uploaded from my Mac to iPad
- Image files deleted from my iPad
- Missing Apple ID and password
- Can’t upload images to WordPress
- WordPress has new app for iPad users and I will download it tomorrow after I retrieve Apple ID and password (so that I can upload images)
- Set URL bookmarks with default browser (Safari)
- Can’t upload images to Facebook and of course there is an app for it, and again I will download it tomorrow after my ID and password.
- No Japanese language kit in this iPad :(
- Fining out most of the hardware functions
- If I update my OS(my PC), I can sync data using Bluetooth

Ok, time to go to bed. It’s been fun. Thanks almighty iPad.

Accessing my blog admin with my new device: iPad

Whenever we get a computer related new toy, you’d have to invest almost a day or two to sorta get the hang of it (right?).  A good friend of mine is letting me use his iPad that he is not using.  Of course this is not my first time around with such devices, still I’m finding myself somewhat frustrated with few new features here and there. I’ve been on it for three hours now, I guess I could play with it for few more hours.

Ok, so I am finding out that I can not upload image files using iPad platform, is that it?  I’m gonna google it.

Alrighty, I found an extremely useful blog from the down under Sue Walter and Bonnie Burt’s THE EDUBLOGGER told me that there was an app for it (of course!).  I’m gonna take a short break, stretch and feed myself a bit and tackle with the image upload issue later :)

What else do you guys know about iPad?  Any tips and tricks?

呪われたプロジェクトだあ〜！などとドラマチックに迫るほどの事でもないのだけど、このロケーションを撮影場所予定地とか考え始めてから既に１年位まだ予定地のまんまである。今度で４回目になるけど、またまた撮影日変更するはめになるかもしれん。I want the spit!

How honest is too honest?

過去の自分や、自分でやった悪事に対して正直になってからでないと、将来の自分や他人とは正直になっているとは　 (1) 言えない？  (2) 言える権利はない？でもそのことを心配している間は，正直になろうと心に決めたとしても、それを実行することは難しいでしょ？　それは出口のない迷路ではありませんか？

Business Publicity Session while Boxing…kinda

I was out there on one weekend doing a SBJPG workshop at a Boxing Gym, I had an opportunity to do a quick 30-minute head shot session for my friend, Kimi. She needed few good shots of her for her new business, or more like her new project.  It was no difference doing it there on location or in a studio environment as long as I had consistent lighting conditions; diffused, non directional, non specular, (sometimes called ‘glamour lighting’) and etc… The lighting; that’s not all it matters here but certainly matters A LOT.  Anyway, as soon as she showed up, I spent ten minutes setting up a portable studio/shooting area at in front of the gym, next to the parking lot. While SBJPG members were still photographing inside of the gym, I commenced shooting right there at a Kamikaze Photo Studio.  Several outfits, few shooting direction adjustments and 20 minutes later, we were done deal.

I have always thought that being a photographer is a lonely occupation, but I suppose a painter’s got the same deal….

My friend Sean said he just found this hatchet in his garage or somewhere… I can’t remember. I was like “Schwing! A Photo Shoot!!!”

2012 New Year’s Resolutions are out

My housemate Kaja did a wonderful thing the other day: listed all of our housemate’s New Year’s resolutions on a piece of paper and posted on the dining room wall!!  Thank you Kaja!!   Speaking of which, I want/need a used long board if anyone can loan me for this summer?  (or have one for sale?)
