SBIPG‘S FIRST DIGITAL DARKROOM TUTORING SESSION (T-Session) WAS HELD EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. (12:30pm-2:00pm) I did HOW TO series on “Making Your Portfolio”.
You need to make your own Wedding Photography Portfolio, so how do you go about doing that? Of course there are many ways to do it, but I went over one of the complete custom production* of books (portfolios) using Adobe Image Editing Softwares such as Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom. Today (being the first T-Session) was more on understanding a flow of portfolio making, and less technical aspect of how-to-photoshop. First, we talked about deciding on your desired portfolio style in the beginning of this whole Making-of-a-portfolio gig, then 2) select image files you like for your portfolio, 3) customizing your files for your portfolio, 4) creating pages of your portfolio, and 5) outsourcing portfolio printing and binding or DIY portfolio. (*opposite would be production with Templates and drag-n-drop)
We also talked about Art of Portfolio Making which topics range from purpose of your portfolio to practicality v.s. wow factors, as well as a spirit of image editing, your style over information and some more things.
